MIMOSA’S JOURNEY (TAITH Y MIMOSA) PART 2 – RENÉ GRIFFITHS

Flag of the Welsh Colony in Patagonia

Path of the Welsh to Patagonia
150 years ago the Mimosa travelled to Patagonia, carrying Welsh passengers searching for a new start. Our exhibition is a collection of photos of items that show the past and presents of those pioneers and their influence on the Argentinean Patagonia now.

LLwybr y Cymry i Batagonia
150 mlynedd yn ol teithiodd y Mimosa draw i Batagonia, yn cario Cymry a oedd yn chwilio am ddechreuad newydd. Mae ein arddangosfa yn dangos casgliad o luniau o arteffactau presennol a gorffenol sy’n dangos dylanwad yr arloeswyr hynny ar Batagonia heddiw.

Video of the Rene Griffiths evening at Risca Palace – Risca Library

René, one of Wales’ best loved guitarists, singers and actors will entertain his audience with his music and stories of his life that has spanned many continents from his birth in Patagonia to his life here in Wales and his extensive travels along the way. His skills as a raconteur shine through in his book ‘Ramblings of a Patagonian’.
